Salesianum Lifesmarts Team Captures Delaware Title, Will Represent State In National Competition

Students from Salesianum have represented state last five years

Salesianum juniors Joe Finnerty, Justin Giglia, Kevin Horn, Jeff Laverty and Derek Shum are the LifeSmarts competition champions for the state of Delaware.

Salesianum has captured the state competition for Delaware the past five years.

The students will represent Delaware at the National LifeSmarts Competition in Philadelphia April 22-25.

The initial competition was completed online. The National LifeSmarts Competition will have state representatives from around the country competing for the national title.

The competition is similar to academic challenge, but the questions come from a wide range of consumer topics from health, science, business, finance, economics, the environment, and many other topics. The National Competition is sponsored by the National Consumer's League and the Attorney General's Office for the State of Delaware sponsors the state team competition.

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to "Live Jesus", guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
