Salesianum Senior John Kuderka Nominated For 2006 Wendy's High School Heisman

Salesianum senior John Kuderka (Thornton, Pa.) has been honored with a nomination for the coveted Wendy's High School Heisman Award. Awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman in December, this program celebrates the nation's top high school seniors who best exemplify a well-rounded "citizen-scholar-athlete."

John has been a standout three-sport star at Salesianum, earning varsity letters in football, lacrosse and wrestling. He was selected as a captain for the 2006 lacrosse season. On the academic side, John ranks 7th out of 235 in his Salesianum class.

John's involvement in Salesianum activities includes membership in student council, National Honor Society, SADD/YELL, the Salesian Spirituality Commission, Blue Gold and the Foreign Language Club. John has also volunteered at Nativity Prep, Rose Tree Middle School and children's summer camps.

Created in 1994 through a partnership between Wendy's and the Heisman Memorial Trophy, the Wendy's High School Heisman program has rewarded youth excellence for 13 years.

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to "Live Jesus", guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
