In December 2000, Salesianum School became the third high school in the state of Delaware to add ice hockey as a varsity sport. Salesianum School played its first hockey game on Jan. 8, 2001 against Bishop Ireton High School from Virginia. At the start of the 2005-2006 season, Salesianum joined the Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League. Mr. George Horn served as the head coach from 2005 through the 2008 season.
