Salesianum Mourns the Loss of Mrs. Rita Rosaio
Wednesday, January 26, 2011
The entire Salesianum family mourns the loss of Mrs. Rita A. Rosaio, beloved friend and colleague whose career as an administrative assistant spanned more than four decades. Her gentle example of unwavering faithfulness made a difference in the lives of generations of Salesianum students, teachers, and staff. As a testament to her boundless dedication, she was recognized at the Honors and Service Banquet in 2005, but no award or tribute could ever capture the depth of her care and concern for her Salesianum family. Since 1969, she has been a devoted friend to hundreds of teachers and staff, a tireless assistant and advisor to six principals, and a loving grandmother to thousands of Salesian gentlemen.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the members of the Rosaio family who surrounded her as she passed away peacefully Wednesday morning in her home. We thank them for sharing their mother and grandmother with us so generously for so long. With grateful hearts for her many years of service and limitless acts of kindness, we pray that God will bless Rita and welcome her to her heavenly home. Two days after the feast of Saint Francis de Sales and in the midst of our Feast Week celebration of Salesian heritage, we are saddened to have lost a very dear friend but consoled to have gained a new Salesian saint who will continue to watch over us all from above.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 30 in Centenary Hall at Salesianum School from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 31 at 10:00 AM at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Wilmington.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.
