Evan Mulrooney signs football scholarship with The University of Maryland

A.J. Dillione '10 will play football next year at Dartmouth College

Wilmington, DE - Salesianum School seniors Connor Norat and Evan Mulrooney signed letters of intent to play soccer at Bryant University and football at The University of Maryland, respectively. A.J. Dillione, who graduated from Salesianum in 2010 and is spending the 2010-11 school year at The Hun School in Princeton, N.J., will play football at Dartmouth College next year. The three signed their letters in the presence of family, friends and coaches on February 2 at Salesianum School.

 

Dillione graduated from Salesianum in 2010 and is currently attending The Hun School. During the 2009 season, he served as a team captain and helped Salesianum earn a state title. During his senior year, he was named first team all-state and all-Catholic as an offensive lineman. Dillione was also named the DeLucia Award Winner, which is presented annually to a senior football player who plays for a Catholic School in the state of Delaware. Dillione is originally from West Chester, PA, and is the son of Alfred and Michelle Dillione.

 

Norat served as a team captain during his junior and senior years, and helped Salesianum earn three state titles during his varsity career, including this season. He was named first team all state this year, and third team all state the previous two years. He is from Wilmington and is the son of Paul and Marci Norat.

 

Mulrooney has started on the offensive and defensive line his junior and senior year. He was named first team all state and all-Catholic offensive line this past season, when he also served as a team captain. In 2009, he helped Salesianum earn a state championship and was named first team all-state on both the offensive and defensive line. Evan is from Wilmington and is the son of John and Lisa Mulrooney.

 

Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to Live Jesus, guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
