Juniors Place High in German Competition

Marc Zimmerman '12Sebastian Peters '12Salesianum students Marc Zimmerman '12 and Sebastian Peters'12 were recognized for their outstanding performance on the 2011 National German Exam. For scoring the highest at Level 4 in the state of Delaware, Zimmerman received a $100 prize. Peters, a native German speaker, received a $50 prize for his performance. The prizes were awarded by the Delaware Saengerbund.

 

Awards were presented by the Philadelphia Vicinity and Delaware Chapter of the American Association of Teachers of German, at a ceremony held in Philadelphia at the Cannstatter Volksfest Verein. The contest is administered each January, and this year almost 23,000 students participated nationwide.
