Clifton Gordon '11 Signs to Swim at UNC
Salesianum School senior Clifton Gordon signed a letter of agreement to swim at The University of North Carolina. On Wednesday, May 18, he was surrounded by classmates, teammates, teachers, coaches and family as his achievement was formally recognized. Clifton is from Greenville, DE and is the son of Cecil and Yvonne Gordon.

Gordon has been a member of four consecutive swimming state championship teams at Salesianum, earning all-state honors five times (his first honor was as an eighth grade student at Tower Hill School). He served as a team tri-captain his senior year. He is a 5-time NISCA High School All-American and a USA Swimming Scholastic All- American. Gordon is one of Salesianum's most decorated swimmers, earning 11 gold medals for first place finishes in the state. He currently holds 5 school records and 4 Delaware state records. He is a member of the Minority Coalition at Salesianum and has participated in Student Council.
Salesianum School is a Roman Catholic independent secondary school that teaches young men to Live Jesus, guided by the spirituality of Saint Francis de Sales, through a college preparatory education, enabling them to take their place in the world as Salesian gentlemen.
