Salesianum will be hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament open to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. The tournament will be called The Kevin Neary Classic and will be held on April 22, at the St. Edmond's Academy Gymnasium. Each team is asked to raise $100 for registration into the tournament. All proceeds will go to support Kevin and his family. We will also gladly accept donations apart from the registration fee. Rules, registration and information are at the link below:

Kevin, a 2000 graduate of Salesianum was the victim of gun violence in November. A bullet pierced his spinal cord and has left him paralyzed from the neck down. A group of Salesianum students visited him in the hospital in February. The students were not exactly sure what to expect before they entered the hospital room. They were immediately comforted when they met Kevin, a Salesian brother exemplifying the optimism of St. Francis de Sales and a resolve to live in the present moment despite his condition. Kevin provides the perfect example of how important life is, even with all of its challenges. Salesianum, as a school community has taken up support for Kevin as an opportunity to show what true Brotherhood means. Through different fundraising efforts students have already raised close $1000 to help with Kevin's medical costs.
