Faith & Justice

Prayer Life

Students, faculty, and staff are always invited to take advantage of the sacred spaces on our campus. The Kramer Chapel of the Sacred Heart is available for a few moments of quiet reflection before the Blessed Sacrament. The Marian Garden is a quiet space to acknowledge those who have died and gone before us. Finally, the peace garden is a place of respite and a reminder of the hope that we possess that the Prince of Peace will build his kingdom in our hearts and this world.

School Mass
Offered throughout the year, each House sponsors one schoolwide Mass. Students and faculty from the House sponsor fill roles as altar servers, lectors, gift bearers, and ushers. They work together to plan the theme of the Mass, select the music, and offer reflection.

Daily Mass
All students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join the Oblates in attending their daily celebration of the Eucharist on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

TGIF/TGIT Prayer Service
At the end of each week, on Friday (and Thursday!) afternoons, the CFJ hosts a student-run "Thank God it's Friday (Thursday!)" prayer service where students can reflect on the Gospel reading for the day, thank God for the week that has passed, and look forward to the week to come.

DGIM Prayer Service
Start your week with the Dear God, It's Monday prayer service held in the Student Union. Stop by every Monday at 8:00 AM for coffee, tea, fellowship, and reflections on the writings of St. Francis de Sales.

Seasonal Liturgical Opportunities
The Center for Faith & Justice organizes liturgical experiences and prayer throughout the liturgical year. Opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation are coordinated during both Advent and Lent. Advent Prayer Services, Stations of the Cross, and other seasonal prayer services are offered in the Kramer Chapel.

Prayer Requests/Intentions
Prayer Requests can be sent directly to Mr. David Freebery. These requests can be for health, healing, and well-being, but we also would be grateful to share in prayers of thanksgiving for a significant achievement or joyful event in your life! Please include how you'd like your intention remembered, added to the book of prayer intentions in the school chapel, prayed for publicly over the morning announcements, or remembered privately by the Center for Faith and Justice staff.
