Class of 2025 Entrance and Placement Exam (8th Graders)

Salesianum uses the admissions test as the primary tool in evaluating candidates; however, also important are the student’s transcript, teacher recommendations and legacy status. The school administers the Closed Catholic High School Placement Exam (HSPT). This a national exam used by 85% of Catholic high schools. Test Details: 
  • A submitted application for admission reserves a seat for this exam. Our next test date is Saturday, March 13th at 8:30 a.m.
  • This year we are using the online version of the HSPT. More details will be provided closer to the testing date. 
  • Calculators are not permitted.
  • Detailed login information will be sent two days before the exam. 

Class of 2026 Practice Entrance Exam (7th Graders)

Seventh graders are invited to take the entrance exam as a practice test.

This exam is currently scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. At this time, we are planning to hold the exam on campus. More details will be provided closer to the exam date. 

Registration for this exam is now closed. 

Students wishing to prepare for the exam may invest in a high school placement prep book designed for the Closed Catholic High School Exam (HSPT), but should not attempt to cram for the exam. The best preparation is consistent dedication to studies and a good night’s sleep.
