Shadowing Program

Eighth graders and prospective transfer students are encouraged to experience a typical school day by “shadowing” a current student at Salesianum. Visitors are greeted in the morning by their hosts and guided through an actual school day. This is truly the best way to experience the Salesianum community!

While the shadow day is not required, it is strongly recommended. Many Salesianum students report that their shadow day was the single most important factor in choosing Salesianum. Parents of current 8th grade or high school students may arrange a visit by completing the online inquiry form on the admissions process page.  Once this form is processed you will receive access to onCampus, our online school portal, where you will be able to schedule a visit date. You may also call 302-356-2648 for assistance in scheduling a visit.

Prospective students should arrive at Salesianum by 8 a.m. on their shadow day. They may come through the school's main entrance where someone from our admissions team will meet them. They should wear a dress shirt and tie, slacks, and dress shoes. A sports coat is optional. We will provide lunch from our dining center, or visitors are welcome to bring their own lunch. Visitors will be dismissed at 2:15.

7th Grade Preview Mornings

In the spring of their 7th grade year, prospective students and their parents are welcome to spend a morning with us. The program provides a guided tour of our campus, classroom visits, and a question and answer session with administrators and students. Each session runs from 9:00 to 11:00AM. All dates are currently full. Students will have the opporunity to shadow in the fall and attend our annual Open House in November.

Open House

All students and their families are invited to our annual fall Open House on Sunday, November 3rd from 12:30-3:30 p.m. No registration is required. The day includes presentations, demonstrations, guided tours, and the opportunity to meet administrators, teachers, coaches, our Director of the Arts and leaders of extracurricular activities.
