Eighth graders and prospective transfer students are encouraged to experience a typical school day by “shadowing” a current student at Salesianum. Visitors are greeted in the morning by their hosts and guided through an actual school day. This is truly the best way to experience the Salesianum community!
While the shadow day is not required, it is strongly recommended. Many Salesianum students report that their shadow day was the single most important factor in choosing Salesianum. Parents of current 8th-grade or high school students may arrange a visit by completing the online inquiry form on the
Admissions Process Page.
Prospective students should arrive at Salesianum by 8:15 a.m. on their shadow day. They may come through the school's main entrance where someone from our admissions team will meet them. They should wear a dress shirt and tie, slacks, and dress shoes. A sports coat is optional. We will provide lunch from our dining center, or visitors are welcome to bring their own. Visitors will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m.
