College & School Counseling

Our College & School Counseling team supports students throughout high school by assisting with their transition, offering grade-specific advisories, and helping them achieve their post-graduation goals. We provide personalized guidance to help students explore their interests, set goals, and navigate college or career paths.
  • Freshman Advisory

School Counselors meet in small groups with freshmen to help them with their transition into high school, finding ways to get involved and integrating socially into the life of Salesianum.
  • Sophomore Advisory

School Counselors hold classroom sessions with sophomores to discuss non-academic topics like stress management, peer pressure, stereotypes, financial literacy, and more. These discussions provide students with tools to navigate challenges in and out of school. In addition, counselors review PSAT testing and help students begin planning for their future.
  • Junior Advisory

College Counselors meet with juniors twice per cycle guiding them through the initial steps of the college application process. The course covers key topics such as the Common Application, writing college essays, requesting letters of recommendation, and building a well-rounded college list.
Salesianum School educates and develops the whole person based on the teaching of Saint Francis de Sales, whose spirituality can be summarized in “Live Jesus.” As an independent Catholic secondary school founded by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in 1903, Salesianum challenges young men through dynamic college preparatory and extracurricular programs to live as Salesian Gentlemen devoted to faith, community, and service.
