Class of 1994 Announces Harting-Leach Scholarship

Ralph "Jay" Harting '94 and Chris Leach '94 were killed 11 years and 6,000 miles apart. One during Operation Iraqi Freedom and the other fighting a fire in Wilmington.
Their original bond was as classmate and brother, forged in the halls of Salesianum; their ultimate bond was sacrifice while serving others. As we marked third anniversary of Chris's death this week, and as The Class of 1994 prepares for its 25th reunion, the class is proud to announce the establishment of the Harting-Leach Memorial Scholarship. By honoring these two fallen classmates with a scholarship, the class of 1994 is making sure that these two Salesians become part of the permanent record of Salesianum, inspiring future generations of students.
