Salesianum Students Receive the 2022 President’s Volunteer Service Award

Congratulations to Will Ansley '23, Niki Shah '25, and Tommy Tyree '23 on receiving the 2022 President’s Volunteer Service Award, which recognizes exceptional commitment to volunteering on behalf of the President of the United States of America. Together, these three Salesians collectively volunteered over 740 hours in the past 12 months to the Cul-de-sac Concerts—a series of ongoing concerts benefitting area food banks and charities.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award program began in 2003 to encourage and reward America’s proud tradition of volunteer service. The PVSA recognizes the valuable contributions volunteers are making in our communities and encourages more people to serve.

This prestigious award recognizes the important role of volunteers in America’s strength and national identity and honors individuals whose service positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around them to take action.

The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes individuals, families, and groups that have achieved a certain standard–measured by the number of hours of service over a 12-month period or cumulative hours earned over the course of a lifetime.
