Jack Thompson '23 is Appointed Chairman of the High School Democrats of Delaware

Congratulations to Jack Thompson '23 for being appointed as the chairman of the High School Democrats of Delaware. The organization was revived by Vice-Chair of the Delaware Democratic Party, alum Coby Owens '13. State chapters organize statewide events, connect members to state candidates, plan phone banks and get-out-the-vote campaigns, and coordinate other initiatives. Each chartered state has an executive board of leaders who help guide and support local chapters and act as a liaison between members in their state and the HSDA national level.

Jack was appointed to rebuild the program, which had been defunct for over fourteen years. During the kickoff of the Delaware chapter, they sought to phone bank for state senate candidate Kyra Hoffner and other statewide elections, such as congresswoman Lisa Blunt Rochester. Governor John Carney and Representative Blunt Rochester were able to come by to rally the troops, engage with future voters, and be there as we celebrated the launch as a group. We are proud of your appointment to this leadership role!
