Dennis Skirvin '65, releases his fourth novel, The Short Timer, A Story of Love and War

The Short Timer, the latest novel from award-winning author Dennis Skirvin '65, wrestles with the horrors of war and its imprint on those who experience it, namely post-traumatic stress disorder. Dennis is a veteran of the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart Award recipient. He graduated from Salesianum in 1965.
 
His own experience lends authenticity to this story, resulting in vivid descriptions and complex characters capable of us giving us insights into the life of a soldier and the challenging world to which they return home.
