Salesianum Recognizes 136 AP Scholars, Earns Gold-Level Recognition

Salesianum School is once again proud to celebrate the academic excellence of its students in the College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP) program, as a record number earned distinction this year. With a robust selection of AP offerings—including the nationally recognized AP Capstone Program—Salesianum remains committed to preparing young men for the academic rigor of college and beyond. This dedication is reflected in the school’s continued Gold-level recognition on the AP School Honor Roll.

This year, 136 students were recognized for their success in AP academics. Forty-six students earned the AP Scholar designation by scoring a three or higher on at least three exams. Twenty-two students were named AP Scholars with Honor after earning qualifying scores on four or more exams with an average score of 3.25 or higher. Thirty-nine students achieved AP Scholar with Distinction by earning scores of three or higher on five or more exams while maintaining an average score of at least 3.5.

Salesianum also celebrated strong outcomes in the AP Capstone Program. Twenty-eight students earned the AP Capstone Diploma by achieving qualifying scores in AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP exams, while one student earned the AP Seminar and Research Certificate.

Advanced Placement courses allow students to experience college-level study while still in high school, with many colleges offering credit or advanced placement for qualifying exam scores. Research consistently shows that AP students are more likely to succeed in college, persist through graduation, and earn their degrees on time.

We congratulate our students on their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding academic achievement as AP Scholar award recipients.
