Salesianum Dedicates Jake Purdon Sezna ’06 Counseling Room in Hynansky Wellness Center
On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the Salesianum community gathered to dedicate and bless the Jake Purdon Sezna ’06 Counseling Room in the Hynansky Wellness Center, honoring the life and legacy of a beloved alumnus. Jake Sezna ’06 is remembered as a dear friend, brother, son, and a true Salesian Gentleman. He was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him, a light that was nurtured and strengthened by his time at Salesianum.
Shortly after his passing, Jake’s family established the Jake Purdon Sezna '06 Wellness Fund to honor his memory and to ensure that future generations of Salesianum students would receive the care and support they need during difficult moments. The counseling room, supported by the Jake Purdon Sezna '06 Wellness Fund, stands as a lasting testament to Jake’s life and to the enduring strength of community, compassion, and care at Salesianum. Through this space and the ongoing work of the Wellness Program, Jake’s light will continue to shine brightly, offering comfort, hope, and healing to students for years to come.
Salesianum School educates and develops the whole person based on the teaching of Saint Francis de Sales, whose spirituality can be summarized in “Live Jesus.” As an independent Catholic secondary school founded by the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales in 1903, Salesianum challenges young men through dynamic college preparatory and extracurricular programs to live as Salesian Gentlemen devoted to faith, community, and service.
