Ben Miller ‘26 Receives Esteemed Johnson Scholarship from Washington and Lee University

Jimmy Conley '22
Salesianum congratulates senior Ben Miller on receiving the prestigious Johnson Scholarship from Washington and Lee University! This honor, created in 2008 by American billionaire businessman and philanthropist Rupert H. Johnson Jr. ‘62, is offered to 44 incoming freshmen, or about 10% of the first-year class. The scholarship committee looks for students who exhibit high academic achievement, demonstrate leadership and integrity, and have the potential to contribute to the Washington and Lee University campus community and beyond. In addition to fully covering tuition, fees, housing, and food, the Johnson Scholarship includes $10,000 in funding for a summer experience, totaling more than $89,000 annually. The summer opportunity allows recipients to follow their passions, interact with cultures distinct from their own, and set their career goals into motion.

Miller has accomplished many things during his tenure at Salesinaum. He serves as the current Model United Nations President and is currently leading them at their national conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Additionally, he was a National Merit Finalist and was awarded the Social Studies Department's Recognition Award in January. Congratulations, Ben, and we look forward to seeing all of your successes in the future!
