The Howley Foundation Establishes Scholarship Program at Salesianum

Salesianum School is proud to announce a new partnership with the Howley Foundation, a philanthropic organization dedicated to helping students receive the best education possible. Through this initiative, five Salesianum students have been named Howley Scholars, each receiving $15,000 annually until graduation, provided they continue to meet program requirements.

Each year, five additional students will be selected, with the goal of building a full cohort of 20 Howley Scholars across all four grade levels. Salesianum is honored to be the first school in Delaware chosen to partner with the Foundation. Congratulations to the inaugural group of scholars: Haiden Briscoe '29, Nicholas Cazabal '29, Logan Connell '29, Eli Fernandez '29, and Jay Fleuridor '29.

Salesianum hosted a Meet & Greet to introduce the scholarship recipients and welcome members of the Howley Foundation leadership team: Lorie Howley, Founder & Trustee; Halle Martin, President & COO; Meg Howley, Executive Director (Philadelphia); Allison Busser, Director (Cleveland); and Andy Howley, Philadelphia Liaison.

Founded in Cleveland and recently expanded to Philadelphia, the Howley Foundation supports over 1,200 scholarship students across both cities. Its mission is to provide access to high-quality education, empower students with the skills needed to succeed, and create opportunities that change the trajectory of their futures.

This new collaboration reflects Salesianum’s ongoing commitment to accessibility, affordability, and the development of the whole person. The school’s mission has always been to form young men of character, faith, and service—and the Howley Foundation’s investment ensures that more students will be able to experience a Salesianum education regardless of financial barriers.

This year, Salesianum awarded more than $4.5 million in scholarships and financial aid, with over 40% of students receiving support. The addition of the Howley Scholars program strengthens these efforts, making our school accessible to students from a wide range of backgrounds.
