Salesianum Supports the 33rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Society Mass and Communion Breakfast

On March 17th, our Salesianum community went out to support the 33rd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Society Mass and Communion Breakfast in Wilmington. What began in 1994 as a simple idea among community leaders—including Joe Farley Sr., Mike Harkins, and the late Mayor Dan Frawley—has grown into a meaningful tradition rooted in Irish heritage, fellowship, and service.

This event has raised critical funds to support the St. Patrick’s Center, a nonprofit dedicated to providing social, physical, and emotional support to those in need—serving seniors, families facing hardship, and vulnerable members of the Wilmington community. Thanks to the community's generosity, the event continues to make a meaningful impact, supporting programs like the Emergency Food Program and helping deliver thousands of meals each year.

Salesianum is proud to share in this mission through our ongoing partnership with St. Patrick’s Center. Throughout the year, we host many service initiatives, such as the Quintus House Food Drive and the Kenney House Turkey Drive. Additionally, our seniors volunteer there during the senior service internship in January.

Opportunities like this remind us that brotherhood calls us beyond our campus—to serve, to give, and to stand with our community.
