Summer Programs

Where students gain an early EDGE

Tap into a variety of fun academic and athletic programs for co-ed students ages 5 to 17. Salesianum’s Summer EDGE — standing for Education, Development, Growth, and Enrichment — gives children an early start working directly with current faculty, staff, and coaches.

Our sports camps help students stay active during the summer, learning new techniques while sharpening their existing skills. And with our academic programs, students can knock out prerequisites for advanced classes, ease their transition into high school, or prepare for the SATs.

Learn more by visiting us at the Community Camp Fair in January!

Registration for the 2026 Summer Programs will be available soon!

Summer EDGE sports camps

Explore a wide variety of co-ed camps for all ages led by Salesianum’s faculty and coaches. Students receive top-level instruction at first-class facilities, building their skills in baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, mountain biking, wrestling, lacrosse, rugby, or soccer. For any questions about our summer sports programs, contact Gene Delle Donne.

Summer EDGE academic programs

Driven by Salesian optimism, Summer EDGE delivers for-credit courses and enrichment workshops—both in person and via online hybrid formats. Our innovative, enthusiastic instructors have helped students in grades 5 through 12 meet their personal academic goals since 2017.

High school students dive deep in their chosen subject, completing prerequisites for more advanced classes and freeing up their schedules for AP courses, electives, and open periods during the school year. Middle school students immerse themselves in fun, hands-on enrichment workshops across academic disciplines. Check out our Program Guide for more information.

Salesianum Summer EDGE ensures our programming is available to all community members. If you have questions or concerns about registering your student, please contact EDGE leadership team at edgeacademics@salesianum.org.

  • Program Details

    Attendance
Half and full-credit courses run from 9:00 AM–12:30 PM. Courses are carefully planned to meet curriculum requirements. Students are required to attend all classes. One day’s absence is the equivalent of missing a full week of classes during the traditional school year. Students who are absent or frequently tardy are liable to lose academic credit for the EDGE course and are subject to dismissal. No refund will be given for students who are removed from coursework due to absences or tardiness.

Parents of students enrolled in courses or workshops are encouraged to report planned or unplanned absences to edgeacademics@salesianum.org.

    Books and materials
Students will receive course-specific information about required books and materials after enrollment has been processed and courses confirmed.

    Courses Details
Check out our complete EDGE Program Guide for detailed information and course listings.

    Enrollment
All courses and some workshops have limited seats available and are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

The registration deadline for half- and full-credit courses is Friday, April 12. Registration for middle school, freshman, and SAT prep workshops will continue throughout the summer. Students and parents will be contacted and refunded if a class is canceled due to low enrollment.

    Grading
Salesianum Summer EDGE courses use our school’s grading scale, and grades are included on students’ high school transcripts. To receive course credit, students must meet the course objectives determined by Salesianum. Students who fail a summer course will not receive course credit or a tuition refund.

    Phasing
Due to the rigorous and immersive nature of the summer session, most Summer EDGE at Salesianum courses follow an Accelerated and/or Honors curriculum. Students enrolled in the College Prep curriculum may still take Accelerated and/or Honors courses — interested students should review prerequisites carefully and consult with current teachers, guidance counselors, and Gardner Center counselors to determine the best courses for them.

    Refunds
Since budgeting commitments must be made before the opening of the summer session, all course and workshop withdrawals must be submitted in writing to edge@salesianum.org by April 16th. While the 50% tuition deposit is nonrefundable, students who withdraw prior to April 16th will not be billed for the remaining balance of tuition.

    Tuition:
    • Full-credit Courses: $1,300
    • Half-credit Courses: $700
    • Freshman and SAT Workshop: $550
    • Other Workshops: $300

    Virtual and asynchronous accommodation
Courses and workshops that are not designated "hybrid" or "virtual" in our online catalog are run entirely in person on Salesianum's campus. The decision whether to offer courses and workshops with a virtual or hybrid option is made in consultation with instructors considering the complexity of content, the accelerated pace, and the impact of logistics on lesson planning and student experience.

While we are occasionally able to permit short-term virtual attendance (one or two days) for extenuating circumstances, we are not able to accommodate requests for extended or full-time virtual or asynchronous instruction for in-person courses.

Requests for short-term virtual or asynchronous instruction must be submitted in writing to edgeacademics@salesianum.org and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
