Fr. J. Francis Tucker, OSFS was one of the original twelve students enrolled at Salesianum in 1903. Before graduating, he asked if he could join the Oblates, and when he was ordained in 1911, he became the first American Oblate priest. Fr. Tucker studied in Rome and held various positions at Salesianum over the years, and became pastor of St. Anthony’s parish in 1924.
